Dr. Gulish has taught undergraduate courses at the University of Georgia and Syracuse University in the area of child and family development. These courses included: Development of Infancy, Early Childhood Education, Introduction to Child Development, and Family Development and Interpersonal Relationships and Marriage.
She has completed a doctoral internship at the Emory University Family Practice Residency Program. In this capacity, she provided mental health services to primary care patients, educated residents on psychosocial issues that patients face, and conducted research on the incidence of depression in primary care patients.
In addition to her work with the Task Force, she is employed by The Wellness Community, a non-profit organization that offers social and emotional support to cancer survivors and their families, as a facilitator for groups of family members and children of cancer survivors.
Dr. Gulish received a BS from the University of California at Davis in Human Development, an MA from Syracuse University in Child and Family Development with Marriage and Family Therapy Specialization, and a PhD at the University of Georgia in Child and Family Development with Marriage and Family Therapy Specialization.
She has received the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award at the University of Georgia.
